ELECTION NIGHT LIVE
In July 2024, Britain elected its Prime Minister for the next five years. Would the Tories make a historic comeback, or could Labour secure their first win in a decade? And what role might Nigel Farage play?
After nine months of hard work, our ambitious election graphics paid off. Sky News drew in 4.5 million TV viewers on the night, with 4.3 million users on digital platforms.

INFORMATION CLARITY
To present results for 650 constituencies clearly, I created dynamic reshuffling graphics and automated result straps. To ensure a consistent visual approach, simple gradients were used to emphasise the data, with embellishments reserved for key moments such as declaring winners.
PUSH BOUNDARIES
Having use of Sky Sports cutting-edge AR studio allowed us to place our set within a 'virtual' Downing Street, complete with Larry the cat. This innovative setup allowed us to showcase key election night graphics and moments.
USING THE SPACE
When telling the story of an election, it's important that it doesn’t become disjointed or confusing. We allocated areas of the studio to be used for specific moments; the curved wall for conversation, data wall for analysis, dance floor for location context, totems for other insights and the AR wall for ‘winning moments’.
