THE CORONATION
In May 2023, King Charles was crowned. Say what you like about the monarchy, but visually it doesn’t get much bigger than this.
Three creative directions were pitched. The route I proposed was selected and developed over four months into a cross-platform identity spanning broadcast, digital and physical spaces.

Pomp & Pageantry
With various symbolic moments shown throughout the Coronation, each element was meticulously considered. The velvet background is a nod to the King's robe, the St Edward's Crown icon is a tribute to the crown he wore following his coronation, and the beveled image frames are inspired by the shapes of the stones embedded within the Crown Jewels.
A Piece of History
Hours were spent refining textures and colour palettes to ensure each asset displayed opulence and unequivocal elegance. We enlisted the 3D expertise of MMMultiply, to create a 3D title sequence, depicting the St King Edward's Crown forming with molten gold.

REPUBLICAN VIEW
It’s only right to show both sides of the story. While many still support the Royal Family, there is a growing group that oppose the institution. To maintain balance and uphold impartiality, the branding is kept simple, with gold accents reserved for the title slate and chapter ends (before going into an ad break).
